Friendly Bike Ride

Join the Bike Ride, which will begin and end at the Lynnville Friends Church. Registration will begin at 8

a.m. with the ride beginning around 8:30 a.m. – there is no registration fee.

There will be three routes to choose from:

14-mile route – Lynnville to Taintor and back to Lynnville

28-mile route – Lynnville to Taintor to New Sharon and back to Lynnville

38-mile route – Lynnville to Taintor to Peoria to Sully past the scenic Rock Quarry and then

back to Lynnville

Refreshments will be provided at the Taintor Church for a freewill donation. If bicyclists wish to

participate in the Crazy Costume Contest, they can shop at the Lynnville Friends Yard Sale prior to

the ride. Prizes will be awarded for the most original costume.

and waivers must be signed.

Friendly Tractor Ride

The Lynnville Friends Tractor Ride includes tractors that travel 12 mph or less

departing from the church at 8:30 a.m. and the faster tractors departing at 9:00

a.m. The ride will go to Rock Creek where lunch will be served at 11 a.m. The

tractors will arrive back in Lynnville around 1:30 p.m. where there will be a tractor

display (all antique farm equipment is also welcome for display). There is no

charge for the ride or lunch. Registration is required and will be taken until Friday

Friendly Hymn Sing

Join us for an old-fashioned hymn sing at 4 p.m. to be followed

by a Bar-B-Q evening meal. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Friendly Quilt

The USFW/Lynnville Missionary Society has generously donated a hand-made quilt to be

given away. The quilt will be on display from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. - during which time all

adults are welcome to enter their name in a drawing, which will take place during the 6

p.m. “Ned and William” Music and Comedy Service. Must be present to win.

Most Scrumptious Pie Contest

The second annual friendly pie contest will take place on Saturday August 27 at Lynnville Friends

Church. If you wish to participate, please deliver your pie to the church kitchen by 1:00 p.m. on

Saturday and complete an entry form. Judging will take place at 3:30pm and winners will be

announced at the 6 p.m. “Ned and William” Music and Comedy service. Must be present to win.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

All 7th-12th Graders are invited to compete in the Lynnville Friends Church 3-on-3 Basketball

Tournament starting at 1:00 p.m. near the Lynnville Bank. You can either form your own team of three

or be assigned to a team. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. To register, call the LFC

Church Office at 527-3371 and prepare for some friendly competition!
